This image was produced in about 15 ours of work, using those programs:

Vice
Gimp
Mufflon converter
Nufli editor
Exomizer

I tried Mufflon converter in the past for creating new cover images for SIDin magazine some times ago, so I take it as a base for image creation as I know it.

I started using this official poster of Rambo II:

http://digilander.iol.it/ice00/test/1.jpg

and I try to find a right combination of conversion parameters that give a good converted image of Rambo and main logo.

After I search for an elicopther to put in left top angle.

I see this at it was perfect:

After putting the elicopter, I want to insert the Rambo miniature that are present in another poster with the same main subject:

http://digilander.iol.it/ice00/test/3.jpg

I insert it into the left bottom angle.

Then I want to insert the Ocean logo and use the one from wikipedia:

http://digilander.iol.it/ice00/test/4.png

The logo was putted below the Rambo legs and it was take very little for not beig too much visible.

At this point the image have a right top corner that I need to fill: I had so the idea to put a moon and I used this image:

http://digilander.iol.it/ice00/test/5.jpg

It is an eclipse of moon/sun, but I like it

After all the image was completed, I try different colors for main logo:

http://digilander.iol.it/ice00/test/6.png

but no one was of my interest.

This initial phase tooks 4 ours for completation.

So I take the Nufli editor, and going to pixels some part of image:

the main logo was filled with an uniforme colors with the solid effect of 3D.

Then I take the Ocean logo and recreate 70% of it to let it more readable. Finally, I take the logo oldschool, tring to give a mixed color pattern into the background.

Some part of rambo images was then corrected by hand.

Finally with the Exomizer I create the C64 executable.

edit:

here some stage of pixelization of logos:
