Trivia Info

In the short story of the same title, Isaac Asimov depicted a future in which people are unable to solve simple mathemetical problems on their own, i.e. without the help of a computer. When one character "discovers" that it is possible for humans to learn and perform the first rules of arithmetic, the military wants to use "manned missiles" to gain an advantage in an interstellar war.

My other source of inspiration is a lost Atari 800 XL BASIC listing from the mid 80s, a German game called "Raketenrechnen" ('rocket calculating') which I rebuilt from memory to become this game.

The title pic drawn by my party table neighbor LZwerch shows a bottle of "Dithmarscher Urtyp" beer in space :)
