What was fixed?
On the original, when one of your shots hit something, its X & Y coordinates were set to 0, hiding the bullet sprite in the left border. But if the ship was located to the right of $d010 when firing, the sprite would be hidden behind the top border on the $d010 line. If you tried to pass $d010 with your ship at the top of the screen it would trigger a sprite-sprite collision on PAL machines and you would die of your own hidden bullet.
