Lords of Conquest (CPX) is the right link - messed up on my own copy/paste orgy here. Thx to Didi for letting me know :)

The third screenshot is showing it already. The black blocks on the map should have actual proper character data representing "resources".
There is a protection routine which deletes part of the charset leading to a somewhat strange gameplay when not removed.

Same problem for:
Lords of Conquest (ESI)
Lords of Conquest (MIO Soft)
Lords of Conquest (MHI)

More info on my working release Lords of Conquest (CPX) :)

Interesting Lords of Conquest Orion release - has the music removed and some maps in memory to "single file" the (incomplete) game.
