Wow! Very well done! Thumbs up for doing something a little unusual these days!
Neat different movements and animations.
The only thing I'd criticise is the white flashing, looks a little to harsch/distracting to me. Rest is top notch!

And a decently short memorable and catchy title wouldn't go amiss. like SlamDunk or something.

something "basketbally" that would fit on a cassette inlay or an advert or a loading screen

Very nice game preview! It just lacks a proper title(loader image) and some ingame animations when the players are not playing. Highscores and... Sound
This is the kind of project one would dream of: Animated humans in motion.
