This is the DDG modified version of the original Turbo Kernal which was put together by PureByte around 1987.
The differences between this and the original are currently unknown. Most notably this one says "DDG Presents" in the startup screen.
It was 'released' in Finland as one 16K 27C128 chunk which has the Turbo Kernal itself and a 'normal kernal' (which says "DDG Presents Normal Kernal") for switching 24pin-28pin rom sockets. This .ZIP has the original 16K chunk and also the splitted Turbo/'normal' kernal 8K chunks.
The Turbo Kernal has Purebyte's "Pink Floyd" disk turbo built-in and there's also a monitor there somewhere, I just can't remember what the SYSaddress was... All tape routines have been removed to make room for the ROM's expansions. |
