this reminds me the first time i visited breakpoint. entered my entry as 5.25" and received "why did you not simply upload it" ...upload? what upload? voting system? what voting system? after things were cleared up similar with screenshots...

actually imo this partymeister stuff is a good thing. makes voting much more comfortable than pen and paper. but it is not perfect. in case of nordlicht the wireless network was unstable and even when it worked the server did not respond from time to time. uploading my entry took (using lan cable) about 30 minutes at the party just because the access was interupted or the server did not respond...

i hope that the orgas will deal with these kind of issues on later parties

"but in the intranet (where ppl had to do the voting) - they didnt upload screenshots of our two pictures"
atleast at revision the organisers would not upload *any* screenshots - dont expect them to do that - you are supposed to do it yourself via partymeister when submitting the entry.

i agree on the rest though, it was bad enough to stop watching the compo halfway through :)

this was my compo-entry for the nordlicht 2013 party.

it became 8th (out of 8 i think, so last place)

unfortunately the compos were not that well-organized, and they didnt show sphinx and my pictures. i talked to them, and later when nobody was expecting it, they did show these two pictures.

but in the intranet (where ppl had to do the voting) - they didnt upload screenshots of our two pictures, so almost nobody has seen our entries, and those few who have seen them, could not remember them without screenhots.

so yes, i am a little bit pissed off... especially as they also managed to do the same mistake with our photo compo entries and our arsenic-demo entry.

unbelievable...
