Some old historical stuff.

If the screen comes up as yellow then you're using a buggy emulator/virtual machine, which ignores the RGB palette setup in text mode. If the font or cursor is not full size then there's a bug in the VGA emulation which ignores double scanline mode. If there's no border then bad luck, get a real DOS machine ;)
