@ Flavioweb:

Could it be you run it in PAL instead of NTSC?

Chessboard in borders looks totally wrong on my x64 2.4.10 r28746M version of vice.

I'm wondering if he is still alive honestly... I lost contact with him ages ago after a falling out because of me being a stupid kid with a nutso girlfriend... ah well such as it goes.

Fungus, I lost touch with Batty many years ago. We had swapped code (snail mail) and I think I moved to Florida and totally lost contact with everyone and everything, including myself. How's he doing? He ever talk about that? I really have to get involved on irc and the community as a whole again.

Thanks everyone. I feel a great sense of accomplishment in this release. A sense of pride (even if it isn't finished).

It is NTSC only, but WILL work on pal machines. The music might be a bit slower and I'm fairly sure the raster stuff won't look proper either, but it should run. Maybe someone can PAL fix it (only 2050 lines of archaic code) :)

@ Hedning - The 1x2/2x2 characterset was created by me in 2008, and I think I've used it a couple times now. I can't be sure if it was used in a public release though.

Ain't looking sooo bad on C64CPAL emu either, first though those blurred $d020 rasters were an intended effect only lacking animation.

nice lil prod

NTSC only! Now that's what I call old school. Nice to see something from you, Eric. :)

Well, here is one of the pages you were talking about. To bad some of those extra effects didn't make it in, but I totally understand the non-desire.

Love the FOE logo

A project started in 2008. Other parts will be released in the very near future, just uh, need to work out some bugs. Read the notes for more fun information.
