Well, no, there's no reference; it's a from scratch to straight PETSCII drawing (although one could say that 'from scratch' is an understatement when talking about the space-soldier theme that's been exploited to the extreme over the years :) that mysteriously developed from another PETSCII image of a entirely different motif.
