Paperboy, Elite Systems 1986

Cracked and released as a cartridge image at Gubbdata 2015.

- Titlescreen with fade in/out.
- From turning on C64 to playing the first day takes 4.5 seconds.
- Fits in 64kb cartridge.

Titlescreen compressed using LZWVL, game graphics compressed using Exomizer.

Another classic and probably the first C64-game I ever played. I wanted to give the game instant loading, like an 8-bit console game. I was also curious to find out more about how the game worked. Would be fun to disassemble it more some day. Biggest challenge was making it all fit in 64kb and handling the decompression so that the player doesn't really notice it. A fun personal project for sure!
