I think both versions were released in 1984, this is the cartridge version and the other is the disk version. I never had a hard copy of this cartridge so I am not sure what label released it. That's probably easy to find out though, thanks for doing it.

This one is really lame compared to the other Congo Bongo done some years later, also we thought it was a fast one just for fun, intead the code relocates in others areas and the cheats were difficult to find and make them work properly (that's why the fly mode in level one has that side effect if you jump).

I've always hated that game, don't know why... probably because of the gamename :)
