Good grief Leon, on which retirement-district garage sale you have found the original of this image? :_D

I really like the depiction of music in this. The girl, is fine, too. The animals don't seem to integrate.

Somehow it reminded me of these black posters with some fabric on them, often in some neon or even phosphor glowing colors and often showing some animals, were en vogue in 1970s/1980s as far as I can recall. Neither gfx mode nor motives are really my cup of coffee, still I admit this one is quite well-done.

PS: Nighwish /o\ ;)

This is about as bad taste as dancing around a maypole in 2015

if its related to nightwish, then no wonder its kitsch =P

omg... X_D
all animals came from the text of the "nightwish" songs... not kitsch, not folk.. etc.. simple "feeling", the SONG feeling... :_)

six: that kind of "folk art" is the definition of what "kitsch" is. really :)

Very American-folk piece, theme-wise. I personally wouldn't call it "kitsch", as IMHO that term invokes a more modern, semi-urban feel.

These are all North American animals, and the basic concept is one that's common in folk art here. Had you made the woman playing a NA flute and wearing a beaded dress, this would fit perfectly on the wall of most of my neighbor's houses.

FWIW, I don't relate the postures of the coyote and buck as "in pain", those are both normal postures for them - the coyote is howling and the buck is sniffing out does, no?

Would make a great T-shirt though :D

Kitsch is the word, indeed. Two animals are in pain too... And the owl tries to ignore the whole thing. Technically I can't complain, but the motif is just bad taste.

horrible kitsch, sorry. uninspiring mix of random animal cliparts too.

Superb, although I guess I would have liked the composition better if the lower right corner would have been occupied with something, as my eyes are drawn to that spot despite the swirls pointing to the upper right ;)

Odd mix with the animals, but I liked the sketch from the beginning.
