Nice work! Puts it very much on the same page as Doynamite & nucrunch. Going to have to run some benchmarks now

HCL: Thanks for the summary and good job! Will update the older BB used in Pixcen. | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 6 February 2016
It has built in help.. just run "b2" with no arguments.
Usage: b2 [-[c|e|r] xxxx] <filename>
-c: Make executable with start address xxxx.
-e: Same as -c :P.
-r: Relocate file to hex address xxxx.
So if you want an executable, use -e. If you want to decrunch yourself, using the decruncher that comes with the package, don't use any flags at all (or possibly -r).
The decruncher should be called with X and Y loaded with hi- and lo-byte address of the crunched file in memory.
Perhaps i should add a cake-walk example.. tomorrow :). | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 6 February 2016
Hey HCL, is there a command line to use the tool ? could be handy to watch example how to pack/depack . thanks for the revision! | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 6 February 2016
Oh.. ByteBoozer_2.0 is very much the same as ByteBoozer_1.0, but it generates smaller files and decrunches at about 2x the speed.
Some effort was made to keep the encoder at about the same speed as before, while searching through magnitudes more matches.
So.. if you want to stay away from cheap copies but still want performance up to todays standards, this is the cruncher for you! ;) | User Comment Submitted by CRT on 6 February 2016
Nice! Is there a changelog, news summary or similar? |
