Hi there! I'm running into some unexpected behaviour in regards to sprites, the side border and ghostbytes. For this you need to set WinVice Vic-II options to display debug borders. In this small demonstration you see 4 sprites on the screen, of which and changes color. When I move the position the sprite with X >= $68 (with proper bit set for $d010) it suddenly shows a "line" above the sprite. The wriggling above the B is done by increasing $3fff, the ghostbyte (the sprite itself is located at $0c00). I have not found the memory locations to manipulate the line above the A and C. You can see the ghostbyte and the other two are "part" of the sprite, since they change colors when I change the color of the sprite, yet the sprite is positioned one line lower. I know about the ghostbyte appearing in upper/lower border or FLD, but was unaware of this behaviour with sprites. Has anybody an idea why this is happening?
