Tool for testing the RPM of your 1541, and also its relative clock speed to your c64.
RPM is measured by averaging four tests, each of which consists of performing five read jobs and measuring the time between the completion of the first and completion of the end. Loops that take more than 900ms are retried, on the assumption that at least one read took at least one more rotation than expected.
1 million CPU cycles on the drive are also measured on the c64. The ratio between the two gives the rotation time, which I then convert to RPM.
