The forground image is interesting, keeps me looking twice to see if I missed something. But the background landscape is what truly amazes me here. I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful view from a hill on the 64.

Thanks @Isildur , looks nice, please feel free to upload any of your own edits/remasters or whatever (if that's the done thing). I guess I wanted to keep it just brown and black so as not to take the focus from the bg, also I have a tendency to make things a bit too "wet look". Good job though, I'm about to venture into more dithered out lines and highlights ect. Consider me schooled

I'm not the right person to point someone, but here's what I meant.
Additional 7 minutes of pixeling ;)

Sorry if I devastated your vision, just wanted to show you some possibilities.

I like the effort put into the landscape, reminds me a bit of defender of the crown screens

Very like those landscape details in depth... to me it's not a 10 bcoz the main character doesn't stand out as arm on the left above those dead bodies :D

I had my eye on usurping JSL's throne as the official "JSL second coming" but, oh well :P

A few in my sights :)

I sense Rail Slave is following iLKke and redcrab's footsteps. Way to go! :D

Minor update. Just added some dither AA to the soldier.

Great idea, but looks like unfinished picture. Spend more time on polishing your work, add some dithering then you'll get 10 for sure. ;)

Thanks for the votes and comments, the 4's always drive me the most, cant wait to see a 10 of mine in relation.

@frantic I don't consider a lot of that no consequential stuff "rail slave ". Just inspired by the heavy weights. Got a few nice things waiting in the wings including my Nordlicht entry :) and a pic called कमल

@ilKke Thanks, been wanting to do a landscape for a while, took 100's of miles of hiking in wales to research and think about how it would work. Pretty happy with it but need to work on those houses

BTW if anyone is wondering about what the theme of the pic is, a German soldier finds a foxglove in the midst of the mud and slaughter of WW1 and remembers home. Nothing more.

Cool style! I like this better than the cuteness stuff that you experimented with recently (though that is mainly because I'm not too fond of "cute" c64 graphics, rather than being a complaint on the quality of that work, because in that sense the "cute" stuff was good too.)
