You know iAN CooG's divine Fast KERNAL hack for the C64. Well the 128 was already slow, I mean it checks for a boot sector a good 4 or so times, slow. Compared to the FAST hack for the 64 it was glacial, unbearable and a real mood killer for testing.

So I present the FAST BOOT 128 ROM SET.
You need to use the KERNAL and BASIC LO for maximum speed, but you can only use one or the other if you want.

This will skip
Looking for Function ROMS
Looking for Commodore Key
Looking for RUN/STOP KEY
Looking for Commodore 64 cartridges
Looking for Boot Sector on the drive
Printing all the lines

It still does all the inits and memory setups, sets up all the vectors, both KERNAL and BASIC. It will set 0A1C to $40 as if it HAD detected BURST. Works in both 40 and 80 col mode.

It does not modify the phoenix function so you can still call BOOT if you wish.

To run
place the ROMs into your 128 folder of your VICE set up and run as follows
x128 -kernal fastkernal -basiclo fastbasiclo
