Eventually I got myself a "Postage Payed" stamp (mail for free!!) and it worked for about 1 year before the postal services sent an investigator.
You should have seen the guys face when I opened the door.
Me being so young,he only gave me a warning!! 8)

And what about the example folders from the post? There were example stamps in it, with in a corner a very thin black line. Just cut them out and glue them to a letter and it arrived just fine. :)

Because in the 80s and 90s the Sceners were mostly Schoolpeople without much money and because the disks were so expensive (10 Disks -> 10€) a lot of Swappers saved money with cheating the stamps.

They used Hairspray, Prittstift or other Sticker or tranpsparent Stickers (e.g. Tesafilm) which they put onto the stamps so the Post stampcolor could be washed away from the Stamps and the stamps could be used again several times.

So you can understand why most people wanted their stamps back or got trouble with the post office :-)

Stamps back!!!! *lol*
