This entire conversation should be taking place in a forum post and not in the comments. | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 12 May 2018
If you want to work on it a bit, post the latest version for feedback, and so on, it might be better to just create a forum post. As for the image, probably not much I would add that hasn't been said at this stage. | User Comment Submitted by Romppainen on 12 May 2018
New entry is required if you want to release it properly here. | User Comment Submitted by JayAldred on 11 May 2018
What is the best way to show you guys the changes I have made for more critique?
Do I need to create a new release, seems spammy to me. | User Comment Submitted by Mibri on 11 May 2018
I agree with the other commenters that the dithering on the background looks really good! Not sure about the character in the foreground - kind of jars with the background somewhat. Cool enough idea, but looking a bit on the wired side, yes.
Looking forward to playing Khaos Sphere; Galencia is a top-drawer shooter! | User Comment Submitted by TWW on 11 May 2018
I like the background.
The shoulder light angle is a bit off?
Also the right hand should be supporting the rifle, not 'pulling it down' => hand is looking weird.
If you could achieve similar dithering as in the background on the dude it would be awesome.
edit: Also the beard color should perhaps differ from the bald spot on top ;-) | User Comment Submitted by JayAldred on 11 May 2018
Ah, I understand. Never heard that term before. Yes, all the shading needs work, esp the body armour. Thanks for the feedback! | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 11 May 2018
Wired = converted rather than hand pixelled | User Comment Submitted by JayAldred on 11 May 2018
What do you mean by wired? | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 11 May 2018
silhouette and shapes look alright, but that brown stuff on the body and also a couple of pixels elsehwere look like wiring artifacts, so I'd suggest doing the colors again from scratch with a little more reasonable dithering. background works but needs polish | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 11 May 2018
Background is great. Character looks wired, so probably needs manual touching to "un-wire" it. Though I think the main point is consistency - if all characters are wired and similarly shaded, then it should be OK. | User Comment Submitted by JayAldred on 11 May 2018
Still a work in progress - looking for some feedback plz |
