10-20% faster decompression than 1.1.1 (depending on source data), with no size penalty.
The decrunch routines are identical, but the encoder now favours faster to decrunch representations when there are multiple identical sized options on the table. For example, if there's a run of four bytes copied from somewhere in the last 63 bytes, it now encodes that with a single two byte token, rather than with two one byte tokens that copy one pair each (as favoured by tc1.1.1 and earlier). |
