Meanwhile, I'm trying to get this code into the original OpenCBM codebase, see this pull-request: https://github.com/OpenCBM/OpenCBM/pull/11 -- if successful, this release would be obsoleted :)

I ported this driver because I switched from Linux to FreeBSD, only to find out (later) that there isn't a driver for XM/A-1541 cables available. Well, as long as I own a PC with a parallel port, I refuse to replace my simple self-made cable with only a few diodes by some complex USB stuff ... better just port the driver ;)

It doesn't make much sense to publish binaries here: FreeBSD always comes with a ready-to-use C build environment and kernel modules have the exact kernel version built into them -- so, build yourself.

The current state is "works for me", so I'd be quite happy to get some test results ;)
