Summary Submitted by TheRyk on 6 February 2019
AoD: Still the game is rather a demo than a game with that trainer, just saying, but sorry, I take that back, it _IS_ a trainer! | Summary Submitted by Angel of Death on 6 February 2019
Eh... Our version does have a "the pirates shoot at you but you cannot get hit" trainer in it, you know. :\ | Summary Submitted by TheRyk on 6 February 2019
Emulators: True Drive Off, Virtual Dev Traps ON of course (Where's my edit button gone, hehe), should go without saying but the maniac in me can not let this uncorrected. | Summary Submitted by TheRyk on 5 February 2019
PAL-fixed as it was based on the two .G64 images of the NTSC version iAN linked in the Forum thread, iAN mon cher, feel free to add Original Supply credits if you think you can trade them for a drink somewhere.
Modification: The demo mode (normally starting when you idle around in mission/crew choice) had to be replaced by just leafing through the characters for the sake of single-siding.
All disk operations are KERNAL routines, so this works with SD2IEC or in emullators with True Drive Off/Virtual Device Traps off. However, some cartridges (Retro Replay and probably other AR-based, Final Cartridge) collide with game code and hence, should be disabled. We recommend JiffyDOS, but other KERNAL speeders such as EXOS seem to work, too.
Adding software speeder or other hankypanky stuff as EasyFlash version might be a matter of future versions if they ever happen, hehe. We are aware we do not provide trainers as we do not consider a preselected crew a trainer (see WGI version) and think no trainers we can think of make any sense for this game.
And yeah, the docs are really short, but should do for beginners. If you wanna read original docs, google them yourself, you lazy bastards :P I can recommend the C64-wiki.de/C64-wiki.com articles with tons of further reference. |
