icon: There is some confusion regarding the term "onefiling". One reason is that "onefiling" in the old days often meant whenever the original came as booter (prolly showing a title before loading the rest) and eliminating that.
Today, however, the bar is higher, as it takes a bit more than just linking the game into one file to call it onefiled. To link all files needed by the game prior to game start, which is originally done by the loader, is not onefiling in today's standard. It is just standard procedure.
To eliminate any need for in-game loading, and instead decrunch levels or other things directly from memory, is the modern definition of onefiling.
We are working on explaining this on CSDb somewhere so that we can handle the tag correctly. The most important is that contemporary releases should reflect the modern definition. | User Comment Submitted by icon on 18 December 2019
Shouldnt this still counts as "onefiled" as the first file is only a diskturbo to load the game. The other releses I have seen of this is multifiled. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 18 December 2019 User Comment Submitted by Zyron on 18 December 2019
