This is a great picture. Your technique is very good. This image has good depth with the blacks and highlight giving the head that 3D feeling. Its almost as you can touch it.

Bacchus - Hey, no hard feelings at all. I entered this on the spur of the moment. It'll teach me to slow down and read the rules more carefully !

JonEgg:

Sorry for being the picky idiot who complains about rules. The picture is amazing. Don't get me wrong - it's a solid ten. But it's a compo with rule and last time Oxidy was disqualified for the same reason.

So I hope there are no hard feelings. You are surely a skillet graphician and there Will be more opportunities.

Bacchus and Trasher: Nothing has changed. I just came home after cleaning and taking care of the party place. Still busy uploading stuff to CSDb. The jury was of course unaware that this was based on an existing pic. I saw this now. And as said two years ago about Oxidy: The picture is completely handpixelled by JonEgg, but as the original composition is not JonEgg's this is regarded as a copy, thus disqualified. Still it is a cool picture, but rules are rules.

Just like Oxidy in 2018 JonEgg was not aware of how strict the rule is (no copy can be interpreted as no wirejobs, which of course is a completely different thing), and of course he did not want to "cheat".

Super nice picture..

But I'm also confused. Wasn't this a compo for original art? Without the hand, there are original that looks 100% like this and Oxidy was disqualified a few years back for something that was a lot less based on an original.

So a clear tenner as a picture - no doubt. But as per the rules, or have they changed? I seem to recall that only original motives were allowed...

I remember discussions about original art a couple of years ago. Not saying I agree with them, but they obviously no longer apply.
