Is there some reason this can't be made into a kernal replacement for easyflash after you make the 30x fallback loader?

Or make Transwarp Ocean Loader (laugh). You'd load the file it would kick in the fast loader, set up the screen, load the music, start the tune, load the color ram, load the picture, flash the borders while the main crunched proggy loads, then stop the border flashing and wait for you to press space in case you want to listen to more music. :)

Great! Keep it up! If you want to do some brainstorming you're welcome to contact me. You are way better than me on this but brainstorming on a subject is always useful.

Zibri: Yes, a fallback to fastloading standard-format files is planned, and expected/hoped to reach somewhere around 25x-30x. This is also part of the prerequisite (along with a native Transwarp saver) to integrate all this with a cartridge to become a complete Action Replay fastload + Warp*25 replacement. =)

Great achievemnt!! As I always say, you are the best on this! One question though, could you do a loader for normally formatted disks too? It would be nice to break some records there too. Obviously it will depend on the position of the file on the disk, but still it could be very nice.

Neo - the beforementioned ".crt" assumes there will be some kind of cartridge release carrying it (along with the fastest fallback loader you have ever seen I am sure). However - give us the creation tools, Krill! :)

sooo... can the code be a drop-in kernal ROM replacement?

I've waited for this since Heureka Sprint. The 64'er magazine had an article on it concluding with "In theory it should be possible to get even faster than that". Proven now! :)

I'm well and truly gobsmacked :) This would make a good fast loader for a file browser/selector ;)

Wow, that's really fast. Unglaublich geiler shice ! what really deserves the name ;) But with the standard file format an x30 loader ? without hardware-gcr decoding or memory expansion in the floppy ? I'm very excited about these releases.
Will this also work with other devices at the same time on the iec bus like i.e. the trackloader by mafiosino ?

Please make a version that takes longer to load, so it is possible to enjoy the music. Now it is too quick. Otherwise totally okay production.

When one look at Krills status or page here a lot of demo creators forgot to mention him... Krill, you are a beast and you have created a framework for so many lovely demos to run more smooth. You are the one involved in most demos on the c64, you are great... remember whenwe met at revision... you slept at the keyboard almost and was in full party mode, krill way... you were nice, you are you!

Really impressive stuff! Any cons other than you can't validate a disk (who cares?!)?

This is beyond everything! But if the master of loaders himself takes on fastloaders, what is there to expect!

Krill, you deserve a medal of its own!!!

File format and encoding is non-standard indeed, which is quite plain to see.

Integration with Superfluid V0.7 is planned, but requires 30x-ish or so fallback loader for standard file format (also planned). =)

+1 to what Burglar says about a .crt image .. that would be the perfect fastloader for me too.

The holy grail of fastloaders has been found, this really is an amazing achievement.
Transwarp easily beats DolphinDos' file loader that relies on parallel cable, new roms and additional ram in the drive.
Once this is available as .crt, I'll use it as my default vice cart :)
