Looks like a bug in the crack. The crack intro disables timer interrupts, and doesn't reenable them (and the game intro does not initialize them).
You can enter the following pokes before running (but after loading) "santa paravia/pw":

poke2380,129
poke2382,13

That should make the intro reenable timer interrupts before loading the game.

I messed around with this one for awhile and couldn't get it to load after the Phantom Ware intro. It would just sit there on the Keypunch Software screen and you would never get the little sparkles off the edges of the Keypunch Software logo. The intro calls to load "SPBOOT" which seems correct because if loaded from that file directly, the game loads perfectly.

Marking this one as broken but please feel free to change it as needed.
