If Cruel doesn´t do the job,you might need to do some ´smart coding´. ;)
But this info is very outdated,I simply have very good memories regarding Cruel-Cruncher.
17 blocks is a lot!

do you have really good and fast c64 cruncher which crunchs between $0800-$ffff ? using simply char-packer I got file with more than 200 blocks and I wasn't able to link the loader part and intro so I needed to crunch it 2 times... and I prefered to have all in 1 file. Sorry that I've dissapointed someones.

@Murdock: i didn't want starting this to try to kick your ass :)
I only wanted to hint to use a better cruncher. I also admire that you are doing all on the C64, and found you did a nice job on all the 3 versions, especially the customized Traz3. BTW if it could be crunched better, it should.
Even using only native crunchers like DarkSqueezer4 or ByteBoiler and a charpacker like Idiots FXPacker you can shrink the final file down to 194/196 blocks (DS4 the 1st, Byteboiler the 2nd)

Hmm,my (Power-)cartridge won´t load this file.
Exceeding 202 blocks is simply stupid, cracks ought to be loadable by anyone. ;P

PS,I do admire you only use C64 programs for your worx! 8)

I'm not following nowadays trends like some cracking groups prefers. I just wanted to put everything in 1 file and add the intro. This file was unfortunatelly 2 times crunched because it wasn't so easy to link intro, loading part and main game without sub-crunching. Anyways, who's now using C64 without cartridge, more - who's now using C64? If you don't have cartridge, for sure you uses the turbo loaders :) No matter, it's all about searching for something to kick my ass even if the crack is done good.

Umm, where is the point in releasing something and not using the best tools available?

I thought the idea of cracking old games was to create better results then what was available back when the game was first cracked?

Murdock wants to do all with the c64 and I can understand him. He may try to use Byte boiler which gives reasonably similar (but not better) results. Too bad needs a REU.

219 blocks are not acceptable IMHO. Choose a better cruncher. Else is better to Separate Dox&Pic.
PS: 181 using exomizer ;)
