The series of The Expanse is my all-time favourite sci-fi, therefore I wanted to create a tribute to this excellent TV series (and books, actually). The starting point was a very bad quality conversion: I used PixCen for doing it (screenshot -> resize it to 320x200 -> copy-paste to Pixcen).

Initial state:
Unfortunately, the work phases have been completely lost.
This was my very first full-size multicolor picture and one out of the three, where I started to work based on a conversion. Like in case of the others (where I clearly and immediately stated that, I used a coverted pic as a basis), I wanted to mention this fact in this case as well. Like I did it in the past not only in case of the other two but also in case of my logos (we created a few tribute intros where I intentionally used the same colour set + same style, etc. and the logo contained copy-pasted parts as well).
The other 2 fullscreen pics I'm referring to:

https://csdb.dk/release/?id=237361&show=summary#summary (...what I would have never created, if I would have known it will be entered to a real competition on a party...)
Maybe using converted stuff can be strange from someone who creates C64 intros on the hardest way: by using S-MON $C000 with a real C64 and/or Vice 2.4 and save the things to .vsf files (yes, I have 30-40 workstage .vsf files for each of my intros!). From someone who wrote all code from scratch.
Oh, one another thing: I have never used AI. I'm not using AI and I will not use AI, neither for creating pictures, nor for creating logos. |
