A few words about the display routine in this piece: it is (again) a HiRes Bitmap combined with an interlacing sprite layer. This time, the sprite priority was chosen to be below the bitmap, effectively creating a mid-layer, since the sprites are displayed above every 0-pixel of the bitmap but below the 1-pixels.

This decreased the flickering remarkably, for the price of complicating the actual pixeling process. Endless Pebibytes of email traffic were needed to get this in good shape. Hope it shows at least a litte...
