I picked up the original on tape back in the day. The fact it was released on a budget label made it all the more great! Comparing what was released against v1.1 i think Hewson made some good calls. The player sprite looks so much more interesting in the released game. The music on the title screen (released version) sounds great. The large font with color FX looks way better on the released game. Maybe Hewson did drop the ball slightly. An element of adventure, if implemented correctly, might have lifted Zamzara to another level.
