Excerpt from Changes.txt

Changes from T-ass 1.0 by W.Roemhild/Omikron
-Removed, mainly to shorten the program:
-User definable F-keys (now have a fixed function, also eliminated the need for 'reset F-keys' command)
-Insert separator command (only filled the line under the cursor with spaces)
-Exit to BASIC (RUN/STOP-RESTORE works just as well and it didn't work properly anyway as BASIC pointers were not set correctly)
-Tons of fat in the code (eg. removed all traces of the 555 protection (a lot!), duplicate routines, unused junk-data)
-Completely removing the 555 protection also eliminated the need for a lot of awkward bank-switching, also removed (a lot!)
-Tons of eyecandy and text (eg. markers list is generated now i/o text-based, number of words and characters in messages greatly reduced)
-linited the number of selectable colorschemes to four (yes, I think colorschemes are more important then user-definable F-keys :D )

-Added:
-Init (fill) memory command
-Import data command
-Import text command
-Load/Save binary commands
-Wildcards (?) can be used in search string
-A lot more resiliency when starting assembler and starting object was added
-Drive routines replaced with more sturdy ones to increase compatibilty with IEC (and only IEC, sorry) devices and prevent 'the deadlock"
-Drive number is selectable from 8 until 11 now with a quick-key to go back and forth to the device you started with on the first 'Coldstart'
-signature recognition when loading a source to prevent loading an incompatible source or mistakingly some data file
-Comments are also highlighted now in a seperate colour as defined in the schemes

-Editor and UI tweaks:
-Assembler starting address is now 49152 (a number that is firmly lodged in my muscle memory i/o 36864 or 32768)
-Relaxed the keyinput routine a bit to make it less nervous and reset the keyrepeat value to KERNAL standard
-Changed keybindings to, regarding my taste, more logical and modern ones
-Pressing RUN/STOP gets you out of any userinput
-Redid most of the systemmessages to more consistent, compact and modern ones, also fixed some spelling errors
-Redid the assemble screen which I found too bloated and cluttered

-Bugfixes:
-Drive hangups (see fixed driveroutines)
-Wrong colors after loading a source with different colorscheme selection saved within
-RUN/STOP printed a character (could have been a feature, I didn't like it so it was removed)
-Carry-over bug in ...to 16 bit integer conversion (by now world famous) was fixed
-Entering an ASCII file overwrote (yes, that is correct English) line under cursor with first line of file, now inserts a blank line first (could also have been intentional, it was removed, however)
