Wonderful, everything of it: the theme, the colourscheme, the execution pixeling- and coding-wise!

After you gave us Escalier, this is a worthy follow-up. Joe, you are pixeling in your own league!

What stands out for me here is the use of white. I think I've never seen a pic that makes use of white in such a fluent way, it really fits.
