@4gentE: Your comments weren't misplaced by any means and they were educated to that. We're just having a short discourse like gentlemen usually do ;)

@Jammer Thanks for explanation, and I want you to know that I wasn’t trolling - I truly wasn’t sure what to make of it. And sorry to everybody else for misplaced comments.

@4gentE: I won't deny it. But symbols and words evolve, get repurposed and claimed by different people over time. That's dynamic nature of our history.

@Jammer - You’re right, my ‘comment’ should not have been placed here. My bad, sorry everybody. I just wanted to say this: What I mentioned was about the salute “Slava Ukraini” itself, they taught us in history class at school that it was some kind of rightwing nationalistic salute and was used by the nationalists that slaughtered Poles en masse in WWII. Confusing.

@4gentE: You cannot blame whole nation for crimes and atrocities of couple of villages because it ultimately leads nowhere. Let's remember it forever but let's not judge upon it till this day. And definitely it's not current generation's fault so time to move on and help because now it's really needed. But that's not a discussion for comments section here.

@Pajda @MuZZa …and I thought tens of thousands of Poles were brutally exterminated under the “Slava Ukraini” salute. I guess I was misinformed.
