Very nice use of sideborder! Lovely picture. This would have been a real impressive startup of a demo :) I agree that the rightside of the picture uses more bright areas that tones down to the the sprite colors a bit "rushed" compared to the left side where it flows better from the main picture and outward to the left border. I also think it would be possible to switch $d022/d023/d027-d02e colors in the sideborders to be able to have different gradient or fade-downs on the right side. Even different per rasterline. Maybe Raistlin can explain the limits for this?

I like the picture. Good to see side-borders in use. The right side-border appears to be limited to 3 colors?
I think with each new side-bordered picture you will probably attempt to find a way to up your game and make the side-border color restrictions appear less obvious.

I will develop my opinion more despite the already 10/10 data. I am very impressed with your graphic creativity I am absolutely a fan of what you do in graphics. Congratulations on your talent and how you perfectly represent the graphics on the C64!

Beautiful work! Lovely border parts. Only thing bothering me is that transition on the right side of the bitmap. I would probably waste a bit more black in there/different curve.
