The conversion process implemented during the creation of 100% Convert on a Friday Night ^_^

The image was converted to NUFLI using Mufflon v1.0

Rather than simply loading the source image into Mufflon and letting Mufflon do all the work, the following steps were taken to produce a more controlled outcome.

The source image was resized using Photoshop. The bicubic option was selected for the resize.

The resized image was dropped into a 320x200 canvas.

The 320x200 image was converted to a 4 colour .gif using dither pattern set to pattern.
Given that the original image used shades of grey, it made sense to opt for a 4 colour .gif

The 320x200 4 colour .gif image was edited so that it made use of the Commodore 64 colour palette: black, dark-grey, medium-grey, light-grey. This was achieved using the Photoshop wand option, and filling the wanded area with the desired colour.

The 320x200 4 colour .gif complete with Commodore 64 colours was saved as .bmp

The 320x200 .bmp was loaded into Mufflon and converted using the options:
Source Palette: Pepto
Destination Palette: Pepto
