Summary
Submitted by DeeKay on 25 September 2022
This is a modded version of the Pi1541 CBM Filebrowser v1.6 that directly integrates the software speedloader 25 X Turbo which is installed just before loading.
It loads a 202 block file 11x as fast (25x was always a lie! ;-) and loads $0801 up to $cfff (standard 202 blocks max)
It loads fast on .d64, .t64 (also multi file ones), .lst, .d41 and .prg (we changed that so it is mounted and can load fast) filetypes and uses ROM loading on all others (.d81, .nib, g64 etc).
It checks for alternate DOS kernels on the c64 side and does not use the turbo if detected.
We changed it to print the init screen before running the loaded program so BASIC faders would look nice.
It's just 15 blocks in size.
Warning: Does not contain STFU, so more than one drive on the bus is not supported.
It was made for Pi1541, but if there is any other hardware that supports both SD2IEC navigation and the cycle exact emulation required for fast loaders, it should work, too...
