Fastmade font by me, own idea. Tried to figure out a font where there's some redundancy in chars but in the same time, it's relatively big.

Regarding the graphics: everything has been done ~ within a week before party deadline. Originally, I planned to create a multicolour half-screen picture and started pixeling it from scratch - and, in parallel I started to create a hires pic as well. A few hours later I switched to the hires pic. A small piece/preview from the MC pic:
The hires picture was created based on a random postcard picture that I found on the internet. After some time I went to this comics-style (?) funny way that you can see in the final version. It was taller originally, had to squeeze a bit to make some more space for the relatively big scroller.
Maybe some of you might be interested: the 4x5-char font uses 247 chars. No reference used, the whole font was my own idea - except for the 'grave' scene, which was requested by Low Spirit. ;)
The little bat animation is based on a reference that I found with Google. Made in a hurry but I hope you like it. 7 different sprites.
The Excess logo uses 18 sprites: 6 Multicolour, 6 hires sprite overlays with colour #$04 and 6 hires sprite overlays for the black contours. |
