Summary
Submitted by daddlerTL on 2 August 2023
New features added in v02 of the player:
- added player controls: fast forward, rewind, pause, single frame steps and stop (allows loading another reu file without having to reload the player)
- chapter jumps (only available if chapters are defined in the video file)
- REUmaker: you can now define chapters and the tool saves inputs for the info screen and chapters in a file to allow to use them again without having to reenter everything again if you recompile a video
- instruction how to make a Koalavideo: added faster conversion method using the command line tool "Retropixels" and a batch file

This is a video player for the Commodore 64 that uses the 16 MiB REU of the 1541ultimate or a similar cartridge as a storage device to hold and play the video. It uses Koala images for the video and 8 bit sampled sound using the sample playback technology invented by Mahoney.

At a decent framerate around 3 minutes of video can be stored in the REU. The maximum supported frame rate is 16.66 fps.

Video files that can be played back by the player can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3qm73ydq8q6wwv3/AAA6O76GZjscfWix8UO5..
