Summary
Submitted by Paladin on 18 August 2023
"It uses hardware handshaking (on the C64 side, at least).

The logic in the cable responds to a byte placed on the parallel bus by adjusting the handshake line. When this check is removed, it works with other parallel cables as well.

It also had some routines that checked for the presence of cartridges.

Only version 1 had the protection sector. Version 2.3 removed that as well as the encryption on the program. 2.3 should be capable of copying version 1 as you can adjust the density of the written data throughout the track with it."
