@chancer It's an 80-column viewer for regular 7-bit text files from other systems. What's special is that it scrolls the screen at full frame rate and even page/up downs are quite snappy, thanks to prediction and prerendering in the background. See vortex.txt. Clip art and image support were just quickly added extra.

It doesn't support petscii or any native c64 text editor formats (or mac os 9 type CR-only line feeds). If petscii is your game, you could create a custom petscii font for it, but that would cover only characters 32-127 and none of the control codes or colors etc.

bit more background info would be great. e.g. the source formats and if it's doing the ascii>pet conversion. reminds me of LaTex language translator , I did many many moons ago on pc
