80-column, 7-bit ASCII text reader for Commodore 64 with hypertext features, fairly good responsiveness, custom fonts and executable program exporting.
I've been always annoyed by sloppily programmed 80-column routines, so I wanted to try making a good one.
Vortex Reader scrolls 80-column text at full frame rate without any tear or other graphical glitches. Prediction is used to make successive page ups and downs, and page downs after scrolling, more responsive. The reader is always one step ahead... the reader :)
Hypertext links can refer to other text files, line numbers in the current text, full screen images, executable programs, custom fonts or clip art. 11 fonts included. |
