This is an updated ProCass/U.S.Gold transfer, which will transfer tapes using REU to facilitate more complex code for transfering and decrypting.

It has several combinations: use of checksums, standard, type 1, type 2 and type 3 loaders.

It supports both 1 file booter/loaders and 2 file booter/loaders.

It decrypts the booter/loader if needed before saving it.

It saves the file headers along with the files.

It saves all the names of the files on the tape in a sequential file.

It searches the start jump of all tapes except one (Volfied) which you can find yourself easily.

It currently dumps 151 out of 152 tapes that I have available. Karate Champ has a custom level loader that doesn't have headers and it would be a lot of extra work to add support for a single game, and not worth the time.

Some games have intentionally corrupted checksums, so it has the ability to turn the checksumming off.

If your game is excessively large, such as Turbo Outrun, Alien Storm, etc you need to use minimum of a 1MB REU.

You can restart the program by pressing space after completion of a transfer.

If a tape is multisided, after transfering side one, insert side 2, and press the C= key to continue transfering, when the screen turns white press play.

If the disk becomes full, swap in a fresh formatted disk and press space to continue saving. It's recommended to use a 1581 or larger disk drive, especially for excessively large games.

Keep in mind that tapes have multiple releases with different loaders, so this tool will not work with ones that do not use the ProCass/U.S.Gold loader. You can use TapEx to identify which loader your tape has if it's a .tap file.

Source code and some notes on the loader included, but not all notes.

The build chain is the latest public version of 64tass and exomizer. I used a version of c1541.exe from WinVice 3.2.
