Summary
Submitted by Dr. TerrorZ on 24 March 2024
As usual, minor versions appear then and now, but these are not announced or uploaded to CSDb.

If Multipaint doesn't work on your computer, try to read the website instructions patiently.
A separate Processing 4 -built app is linked from the web page, which can help with newer OS/computers.
Older computers might instead lack new enough Java.
I'll try to pay attention to this and any reports you are kind enough to send.

Some general and C64-related new things:

-Detached preview window with 1x/2x toggle, PAL/NTSC/square aspect ratio switch using n/p/0 keys. Menu > other > preview
-Free pan now works both in zoomed/unzoomed view (middle button drag, or use pan tool)
-The viewport should be faster for panning & general screen update
-Mousewheel inversion is still at data/prefs.txt, a bug prevented it from working. Now fixed.
-Interactive tutorial mode for basic functions. Menu > file > new mode > tutorial (Work in Progress)
-Shortcut key cheat sheet menu item. Menu > other > keysheet
-C64 Multicolor has unique character count (checks if it works as mc char screen, no export, no mixing of hires/mc)
-Loading C64-style 320x200 PNGs in C64 multicolor, Multipaint tries to guess the background color.
-Loading C64-style 320x200 PNGs in C64 modes, guesses colors better (not 100% guaranteed)
