Introducing OpenSprite, a QT-based Open Source Sprite editor for Windows, with Linux and Mac versions available on the OpenSprite git page.

OpenSprite supports expanded sprites in both X and Y directions and overlayed sprites with additional colors and transparency options. With version 1.4, a rotation feature for single color sprites was added, among other smaller improvements.
