This is not a surfing game in the same vein as for instance surfing in California Games, rather this is the equivalent to a Flight Simulator in a surfing setting.

It is a hard game, so here are some tips:

- Read the docs and go through the Surfschool first!

- Catch a wave high up on screen, not low. The higher the better. Use joystick left and right to paddle out.

- Easiest is to catch the wave on its left side. You must catch it on the "sweet spot", where it is beginning to break. Do this by hitting SPACE when your surfer is correctly aligned with the wave.

- Once a wave is climbed, put left hands fingers on the leftmost side of the surfboard, and right hand fingers on the right side of the surfboard (or use the keys described in the docs). First tries to get a grip on this would be to press down L and keep pressed while also pressing M-key (equivalent to pressing rear of surfboard and rear-down) - that will make the surfer turn.

- Points are awarded the longer you surf the wave, and for tricks you perform. Tricks are described in the docs.
