Trivia Info

Some trivia about the demo.

- The demo took 6 months to complete, starting with the "Dripping Memory (of E2IRA)" part that was the first to be completed, in the middle of February 2024. Demo was (technically) concluded on the 24th August, few minutes after midnight.

- "Dripping Memory" - realtime, random, different every time you run the demo.

- "Motion-blurred Landscape" - motion-blur effect applied in realtime.

- "Inertia Vector" incorporates realtime gfx flipping over the X and Y axis. Inspired by "Lifeforms" music videos by The Future Sound Of London.

- "Joy Division Vectors" inspired by Joy Division's cover art for "Unknown Pleasures" album. The cube of the eye vector is drawn in realtime. No sprites are used in this part - everything you see on the screen is pure char mode, cycled rasters and screen scrolling.

- "Kinetic Surface" made in Luke's 3d engine, with added particles using sprites.

- "Flip Disk" - if you keep it running for some time, you will witness all the different transformations applied to the floppy, there are a few.

- "New Man's Cube with Rotator" part is a homage to the "Numen" demo released on Atari by Taquart. This is accented by Jammer replicating Pokey sound in the soundtrack. Created in Luke's 3d engine.

- "Twisted Gouraud" features realtime conversion from char-based frames to sprite multiplexer, utilizing a clever speed up trick we used in our ZX demo "Add Astra". Twist deformation (non-destructive) also applied in realtime.

- "Swallower Of Worlds" was entirely inspired just from the "head" picture created by bimber.

- "Bee-hive At Nooon" part is a homage to "Stars: Wonders Of The World" demo by Nooon on PC. Again, Jammer replicating Groo's bassline from the soundtrack to that demo. Created in Luke's 3d engine.

- "Robot Terror/Greetings" - 3d created by Biter/Futuris. This part features two asynchronous animation "bitplanes" (35 frames background and 16 frames for the robot) combined on-the-fly, using a total of 10 char-generators due to complexity. The "bitplanes" are independent. The greetings list had to be really stripped down not to lose the pace of the demo, so we had to leave out some groups, there are a lot more of you we wish we could salute here, please forgive us.

- "Xenium Noise Screen" - the noise code is heavily based on one of Wacek's tiny Lovebyte 2024 intros.

- "Particle Tunnel" and "The End: Rain" created in Luke's 3d engine, with added sprite particles in case of the tunnel.

- Arise logo in "The End" is based on the MUCSU-mode logo from E2IRA, skillfully remade into pure hires by bimber.

Enjoy the show and stay human.
