@wil: I know nothing about circuit boards. Just drew this from memory… but I think I know what you mean anyway. I definitely wouldn’t recommend making this board into reality.

Nice idea! But it would add a great touch of technical detail to show the ICs with their legs connected to wires and/or vias. As an electronics nerd, I cannot unsee the floating pins :-)
