that's how every comment section - and most ratings - on csdb nowadays are cheering fests. maybe that's for the better, maybe it shows that we have grown up and don't want to make enemies.
but no one should be reprimanded for criticising (for the act itself, not for a certain critique), no matter how harshly.

Nice to see people do covers. I enjoy this as it reminds me to go back to check out some of the old music I used to listen to. I think this is well done.

Covers have always been a respected art form or something important to people and one can have a lot of fun with that. I can not understand the harsh tone of your response to someone creating something cool on a computer from 1982, a person that did not have that computer at side in the teens even... it deserves admiration to start creating sid tunes with that background... I apploud it all... get a grip Joe... |

And making a great cover does not seem like a waste of talent to me. @joe: Outside of SID-World, some of the greatest popstars did and do coversongs an people love them if they are good. Nobody would say, the Beatles (just an example) wasted their talent in their early years… And accusing someone of wasting his talent might not be such a „small nail“ for that person and you shouldn’t be surprised about a reaction on that. |

Cool, but you get a 1 from me, it's excellent technically in all aspects, but I just don't understand why you don't do your own music the same justice.

If you make SID music, you’ll eventually reach the point where you tell yourself, "I have to cover Blue Monday by New Order." Most people started with this track right away, but for me, it took almost five years. And as always, I’m about 40 years too late to the party :-D.
