Things changed since 20050917:
- SID reinitialized on beep sound in manager, to prevent some anoying sounds.
- SHX and SHY had wrong addressing modes in monitor
- Null length blockread broke T64 extractor over pclink.
- LL now displays directory of 1541 for the first time, and also recordlength and sidesector (if any).
- SCPU crash on disk error in chrin/chrout fixed
- "blocks free hack" option in setup for compatibility
- Filetype is optional before opening mode. "FILE,A"
- One character filetypes not allowed anymore, expanded or striped on ISO/Joilet/Fat.
- Full relative file support.
- Files with holes are fully supported now.
- Scratch with multiple patterns now finds all files.
- One character filename, dot after name fixed on ISO9660, names now all lowercase, type with "," possible. (this is not joliet, but iso level 4)
- Compile time option to not convert ".xxx" to filetype, and force prg.
- ISO/Joilet directory sometimes was broken
- ISO level 4 was misdetected as Joliet.
- More strict parameter checking for read.
- Some errors were not displayed during copy in manager.
- / and ^ didn't worked in program mode.
- It's now possible to enter screen codes for "H" in monitor
- "IV" for restoring IDE64 vectors in monitor
- Function keys do not print chr$(0) anymore.
- 0 byte files are handled correctly on read now.
- Repeated "@#" with device not present leaded to too many files.
- Channel number was not masked for some commands. (70, no channel)
- New plugin configuration file to allow redefining keys 2, 3 and 4.
- Non-optimal start of new block allocation fixed.
- Fat12 reading was fixed for some cases.
- Extra sector allocation after file end fixed.
- Smarter search for free space on filled partition.
- Redefining function keys do not trash BASIC program anymore
- JiffyDOS, DolphinDOS or fastcopy sometimes switched back to normal mode causing a hang or broken copy. (manager, load)
- Timeout during blockread on pclink crash fixed.
- Some harddisks were not reliably detected on powerup
- Several reopens of the same file not possible anymore
- Creating and reading links possible now, some link handling bugs fixed
- Initial support for PCLink over Swiftlink and Turbo232 (not tested yet)
- Removed most of the selftests because of lack of space.
- updated IDE64 user's guide, version number and filesystem check, move to 64tass 1.45 and more. ;)

There's now an updated filesystem check tool available, because the old one didn't know anything about relative files, so it now corrupted them. The required version for this release is 0.02b. Also it's now much faster, takes only 2/3 of the time to finish compared to 0.01.

For users of previous beta versions it's highly recommended to run it to identify files with "FILELENGTH IN DIRECTORY TOO SHORT" error. But please do not fix these using fsck, as that will add the hidden junk after the end of file. (which was a bug in IDEDOS) Better copy them with the manager to another place and remove the old one.

Users of 0.8x versions should get another disk temporary and copy stuff over to the new filesystem by the file manager, or stay with the old IDEDOS, as 0.90 has no write support for the old filesystem. Sooner or later the old filesystem will be completly unsupported.

Ideserv 0.20 should be fine with this version, SwiftLink support at 38.4Kbit needs source modification of ideserv to lower the baudrate, and Turbo232 is most likely unreliable at 115.2Kbit because it has no fifo, but this wasn't confirmed yet. If so, maybe it'll work at some lower speeds...
